So why did I join ITV as an independent business owner?

Well, I took the plunge. I’ve never before been involved in any direct marketing/network marketing organization.

So what is it about ITV Ventures™ income opportunity that made me overcome my usual cynicism about network marketing and become an ITV independent business owner? And why did I decide to create an ITV Ventures™ blog?

Well, there were four main reasons.

First, through another program I am involved in (that has nothing to do with network marketing or natural products) I ran across a nice fellow who has been distributing ITV’s products for some time – well before ITV decided to go the network marketing route. And he has done very well. So I know someone who speaks very highly of ITV itself – and of its products (that’s important). Each product is developed to enhance either your general wellness (mind and body) or a specific need, and is produced from natural sources.

Second, ITV has been a leading creator of nationally broadcast infomercials for natural products for several years now. They broadcast their infomercials many thousands of time each month.

What does that mean? Well, as part of their direct marketing program, they’ll be making “hot leads” available to the IBO’s.

The idea is pretty cool. People across the country watch an ITV infomercial on television. Some of them will then call ITV’s toll-free phone number to inquire about the particular product being marketed.

Well, ITV hands these hot leads over to its IBO’s, so these targeted leads have already expressed an interest in the product - and are waiting for the IBO to call them with more info.

So, unlike all the other direct marketing programs I’ve heard of, you do not need to recruit your family, friends or co-workers. And you do not have to be a great salesman. You just take these leads and follow up on them. I figure we should be able to close a large number of them. After all, they have already heard the “pitch” on TV, and they have already taken the first step towards a purchase, by calling ITV’s toll-free number. Then, when they make a purchase, we earn the difference between the wholesale price and the retail price – often a 100% markup.

And there are no products to ship – ITV does that for us.

Third, the opportunity to join ITV and get in as an ITV independent business owner near the ‘ground floor’ meant I could hopefully build a solid downline that could provide us with a nice residual income for years to come. The actual launch of the ITV Ventures™’ Opportunity (in conjunction with the broadcasting to a national audience of a full infomercial about the opportunity) is scheduled for February 1, 2007. So I have become an IBO well before the national campaign commences. That in itself is very exciting.

Finally, ITV has said it will be expanding its product line dramatically in 2007. I’ve heard they may release as many as 90 new products, with accompanying infomercials, in the coming year. So that means there is lots of opportunity to grow.
